ANSI Measuring Procedures

Review and discussion of ANSI procedures to be used in measuring/calculating gross living area.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac recently announced that they will be implementing and requiring the use of ANSI Z2765-2021 as of April 2, 2022. This is the method used to calculate the living area of residential buildings which was created by the American National Standards Institute. As such, residential appraisers will be required to become familiar with and implement this method into their practice for all appraisals completed on or after 4/1/2022. To this end, NJ ASA IFA will be offering a three hour course to further your educational knowledge on this topic
